29 CFR 1926.501(b)(11): Each employee on a steep roof with unprotected sides and edges 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels shall be protected from falling by guardrail systems with toeboards, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems. (a) Galaviz Brothers Construction, LLC at 451 Oak St, Frederick, CO 80530: On or before September 18, 2015 the exposing employer did not ensure that employees were protected from injury, in that five employees removing and installing shingles on a two-story commercial building, with a roof pitch of 5-in-12, were not utilizing a fall protection system. This condition exposed the employees to fall hazards of approximately 25 and 30 feet.
