29 CFR 1910.38(e): Training. An employer must designate and train employees to assist in a safe and orderly evacuation of other employees. a. On or about September 9, 2015, on the 3rd floor, employees were not trained to assist in a safe and orderly evacuation of other employees when a fire alarm system was activated. Employees were instructed to stay in the building and remain at their desks by two team leaders and the operations manager of the 3rd floor when the cause of the fire alarm was not known.
