29 CFR 1910.178(q)(6): Powered industrial trucks were altered so that the relative positions of the various parts were different from what they were when originally received from the manufacturer, by the addition of extra parts not provided by the manufacturer, or by the elimination of any parts without the manufacturer's approval: a. In the rear maintenance shop, on or about 10/05/15: A Toyota powered industrial truck which had its forks altered to facilitate lifting automobile engines from engine compartments. The alterations had not been approved by the manufacturer. Abatement certification must be submitted for this item.
