Manufacturing Area - On or about October 5, 2015, Employees, laborers, using a hand pump to transfer flammable liquids from a 55 gallon storage drum were exposed to fire and burn hazards. The drum was was not sealed around the pumping mechanism allowing flammable and toxic vapors to escape. b. Manufacturing Area - On or about October 5, 2015, Employees, laborers, were cleaning paint brushes in one quart open cans containing flammable solvents exposing employees to fire and health hazards.

Manufacturing Area - On or about October 5, 2015, Employees were exposed to fire and burn hazards while transferring flammable liquids from a 55 gallon metal drum containing cleaning solvent into smaller processing cans where the dispensing nozzle and the container were not electrically bonded. b. Manufacturing Area - On or about October 5, 2015 Employees were exposed to fire and burn hazards while pouring flammable liquids from processing cans into a 55 gallon drum used for storage of cleaning solvents and the containers were not electrically bonded.

29 CFR 1910.1200(e)(1): The employer did not develop, implement, and/or maintain at the workplace a written hazard communication program which describes how the criteria specified in 29 CFR 1910.1200(f), (g), and (h) will be met: a. Establishment - On or about October 5, 2015, Employees, laborers, are exposed to physical and health hazards chemicals while filling paint cans with chemicals such as propane,xylene and toluene. The employer had not developed or implemented a written Hazard Communication Program as required. Abatement certification required within 10 days after abatement date. The certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, date and method of abatement, and states that employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement.

This 55 gallon drum was not labeled with product identifier words or hazard identification words and symbols as required.
