29 CFR 1910.178(m)(3): Unauthorized personnel shall not be permitted to ride on powered industrial trucks. A safe place to ride shall be provided where riding of trucks is authorized. a. Along Morse Road in Gahanna, an employee was observed riding on the front forks of the forklift, the employee rode both while the forks had a tree on the front in order to stabilize it and while there was no materials, thereby exposing the employee to a struck-by hazard.
