29 CFR 1926.102(a)(3): The vision of employees requiring use of corrective lenses in spectacles was not protected by goggles or spectacles of one of the types listed in paragraphs (i) through (iii) of this section. An employee engaged in residential activities was exposed to a struck by hazard in the eye, while using a pneumatic nail gun on a construction site in Peoria, Illinois, and the employer did not ensure the employee was protected by goggles or spectacles with protective lenses.

29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): Each employee on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge which was 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems. Employees performing roofing activities were exposed to a fall hazard on a construction site in Peoria, Illinois. a. An employee shingling on the dormers valley, outside the guardrails systems, was exposed to a fall hazard, and the employer did not ensure fall protection was being used. b. Employees were exposed to a fall hazard when working at the ridge because guardrails were not installed on both sides of the work area.
