29 CFR 1910.23(c)(1): Open-sided floors and/or platforms four feet or more above adjacent floor or ground level were not guarded with standard railings (or equivalent) and toeboards: Employees engaged in grain handling activities were exposed to fall hazards in the following locations: a) In the K elevator between bins 18 and 20 was not equipped with a guard railing system exposing employees to falls of approximately 8 feet. b) At the 100 conveyer for the soft stock bucket elevator the adjacent platform was inadequately guarded in that the railing did not fully enclose the platform exposing employees to falls of approximately 8 feet. The Land O Lakes Purina Feed, LLC was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1910.23(c)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 106936, citation number 1, item number 2 and was affirmed as a final order on November 9, 2011, with respect to a workplace located at 767 OldChillicothe Rd. Washington Court House, OH 43160.
