29 CFR 1903.19(c)(1): Within 10 calendar days after the abatement date, the employer must certify to OSHA (the Agency) that each cited violation has been abated, except as provided in paragraph (c)(2) of this section: a. In regards to citation 1, item 1, issued on November 9, 2015, the employer has failed to submit abatement certification within ten days of the abatement date, November 20, 2015. The violation read as follows: 29 CFR 1910.37(a)(3): Exit routes must be free and unobstructed. No materials or equipment may be placed, either permanently or temporarily, within the exit route. The exit access must not go through a room that can be locked, such as a bathroom, to reach an exit or exit discharge, nor may it lead into a dead-end corridor. Stairs or a ramp must be provided where the exit route is not substantially level: a. At the workplace, the emergency exit door near overhead door 1 was blocked, preventing the exit door from being used in the event of an emergency evacuation.
