Such activities shall be performed only by experienced and trained employees selected for such work by the competent person.  The pump jack scaffold at the jobsite was not erected under the supervision and direction of a competent person qualified in scaffold erection in that the scaffold's platform exceeded the length of the scaffold's integral fall protection system; thus exposing a worker to an approximately 16 foot fall hazard.
