29 CFR 1926.304(d): Portable, power-driven circular saw(s) were not equipped with a guard above and below the base plate or shoe: (a) Rear garage, new residential construction located at 4040 Declaration Drive, Roswell, GA 30076: Employee was exposed to severe laceration and amputation hazards while cutting Hardie Plank Lap Siding with a Makita (Model -5007F) 7-1/4-inch Circular Saw with the guard propped open with a wood shim. The lower guard failed to close instantly after the cut was made through the siding.

29 CFR 1926.403(b)(1): Employer did not ensure that electrical equipment is free from recognized hazards that are likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees: (a) Rear side, new residential construction located at 4040 Declaration Drive, Roswell, GA 30076: The employer failed to inspect all of the electrical cords prior to the start of the work shift. A 50 ft. flexible cord used to power a Porter Cable Air Compressor had a torn outer casing and missing strain relief which was not removed from service.
