29 CFR 1910.157(g)(1): An educational program was not provided for all employees to familiarize them with the general principles of fire extinguisher use and the hazards involved with incipient stage fire fighting: Restaurant: Annual fire extinguisher training was not provided where there was potential for fires during food preparation operations. On 10-18-15 an omelet maker caught fire and a portable extinguisher was used to put out the flames.

Restaurant: A written emergency action plan was not developed and implemented for employees working in the office, dining, and kitchen areas. A written program shall include the following information; 1. Procedures for reporting a fire or other emergency; 2. Procedures for emergency evacuation, including type of evacuation and exit route assignments; 3. Procedures to be followed by employees who remain to operate critical operations before they evacuate; 4. Procedures to account for all employees after evacuation; 3. Procedures to be followed by employees performing rescue or medical duties; and 4.The name or job title of every employee who may be contacted by employees who need more information about the plan or an explanation of their duties under the plan.
