29 CFR 1910.95(d)(1): A representative monitoring program was not developed and implemented when information indicated that an employee's exposure may equal or exceed an 8 hour time weighted average of 85dBA. a) Penn Iron Works - An employee working as a flex core welder was exposed to continuous noise at an equivalent level of 103.4dBA which exceeded the permissible daily noise exposure of 90dBA during the 256 minutes of personal sampling conducted on December 15, 2015. Similar exposure was estimated for the remaining 224 minutes of non-sampling. The primary health affect of overexposure to noise is hearing loss. Abatement certification required within 10 days after abatement date. The certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, date and method of abatement, and state employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement.
