29 CFR 1926.405(g)(2)(iv): Strain relief. Flexible cords were not connected to devices and fittings so that strain relief was provided which will prevent pull from being directly transmitted to joints or terminal screws. (a) Navy Base, Credit Union: A yellow extension cord was not connected to the plug that was used to power a Offset Laminate Trimmer tool. The female end was pulled away from the insulation and the conductors were pulling on the joints or terminal screws, exposing employees to the hazard of possible minor electrical shock.
