OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1): Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which was free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to the hazard of falling:  Building #5 (McCorkle), corner of Rustin St. and Kennedy St., Glennville GA  a) Employees were exposed to the hazard of falling 9 feet off the second floor to a concrete while the loading door was open during the loading or unloading of boxes; on or about 11-03-2015.  b) Employees were exposed to the hazard of falling off sheets of laminate wood placed over pallets as they work and walk on them while a forklift, a Kalmar AC model P30bX PS, elevated them up to 9 feet above a concrete floor; on or about 11-03-2015.     Among other methods, feasible and reasonable abatement methods to correct these hazard are:  a) To implement engineering or administrative controls or provide fall protection to employees exposed to a fall hazard.   b) to implement engineering or administrative controls or to comply with requirements outlined in the "American National Standard for Low Lift and High Lift Trucks" (ANSI B56.1-2012) which provide that:  4.17.2: Whenever a truck is used to elevate personnel, the following precautions for the protection of personnel shall  be taken:  (a) Comply with the design requirements in paragraph. 7.37 of this Standard.   7.37.1 Platforms used for elevating personnel shall have (d) fall restraint means such as a guard rail and/or a personal fall protection system, whenever the platform can be elevated to a height greater than 1200mm.   7.37.3 Work platforms (does not include operator platforms) shall comply with paragraph. 7.37.1 and shall have (c)  means to securely attach the platform to the carriage or forks, and to prevent the lifting carriage or forks from pivoting upward.

29 CFR 1910.37(b)(5): Each doorway or passage along an exit access that could be mistaken for an exit was not marked "Not an Exit" or similar designation or identified by a sign indicating its actual use:  Building #5 (McCorkle), corner of Rustin St. and Kennedy St., Glennville GA  a) Loading door was not marked as "NO AN EXIT" or similar sign and in case of fire or another emergency the employees could try to egress trough this door delaying their escape; on or about 11-03-2015.
