29 CFR 1910.95(d)(1): When information indicated that any employee's exposure equaled or exceed the 8-hour time-weighted average of 85 decibels, the employer did not develop and implement a monitoring program: Store - On or about 11/10/15 and at times prior thereto employees in the Auto Care operated pneumatic ratchets to mount/remove wheels and also pneumatic machines to mount/remove tires from rims. The employer did not monitor the level of noise in order to establish if a hearing conservation program was required. (Instantaneous noise measurements indicated 90.5 dB, 90.9 dB, 86.6 dB and 88.5 dB). In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(d), abatement certification is required for this violation (using the CERTIFICATION OF CORRECTIVE ACTION WORKSHEET).
