Sources of ignition include; open flames, lightning, smoking, cutting and welding, hot surfaces, frictional heat, sparks (static, electrical, and mechanical), spontaneous ignition, chemical and physical-chemical reactions, and radiant heat: On or about July 27, 2015, at the Derrick Truck Stop in Greenwood, LA; the employer did not take adequate precautions to prevent the ignition of flammable vapors or overexposure to hazardous substances while the employees were drying out gasoline tankers.
