29 CFR 1926.62(d)(1)(i): Each employer who had a workplace or operation covered by 29 CFR 1926.62 did not initially determine if any employee was exposed to lead at or above the action level of 30 micrograms per cubic meter of air (30 mg/m3) calculated as an 8-hour time-weighted average (TWA):  On or about 10/01/2015, at a worksite located at 212 S. Durkee St., Appleton, WI 54911, the employer had not initially determined if any employee could be exposed to lead at or above the action level. Lawrence University of Wisconsin acted as the general contractor during gut/rehab work in a dormitory building constructed in approximately 1958. Lawrence University of Wisconsin, as the creating, correcting and controlling employer, relied upon lead detection kits as conclusive evidence of the absence of lead in areas where subcontractors were contracted to conduct manual demolition and abrasive blasting of paint coatings which contained lead.
