29 CFR 1910.27(c)(6) as required by 29 CFR 1960.8(b): The employer failed to ensure that the step-across distance from the nearest edge of the ladder to the nearest edge of equipment or structure was not greater than 12 inches: (a) North Baggage Inspection Area (L3-Delta Airlines): On or about 11/19/2015, employees were exposed to a step-across distance of 38.5 inches while crossing over an upper level baggage conveyor system to gain access to EDS 1-2 X-Ray machines. The Transportation Security Administration was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard, CFR 1910.27(c)(6), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 885583, notice number 001, item number 05 and was affirmed as a final order on 9/19/2013, with respect to a workplace located at 2 Service Road, 3rd Floor, East Boston MA, 02128.
