29 CFR 1926.760(a)(1): Each employee engaged in a steel erection activity who was on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge more than 15 feet (4.6 m) above a lower level was not protected from fall hazards by guardrail systems, safety net systems, personal fall arrest systems, positioning device systems, or fall restraint systems. a) Steel erection commercial jobsite: On November 24, 2015 and at times prior thereto; employees were engaged in removing insulation bundles from an aerial lift on a flat roof at a height greater than 30 feet where employees were installing metal roofing panels and they were not attached to the fall arrest system on the roof. Note) Abatement certification IS required for this item.
