29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks: a) Saw Area, on or about 11/20/15: Turn Pro horizontal band saw was not provided with an adjustable guard to cover the unused portion of the blade. The unused portion of the blade measured 9-1/2 inches. b) Addition Area, on or about 11/20/15: Turn Pro horizontal band saw was not provided with an adjustable guard to over the unused portion of the blade during operation. The unused blade measured 7 inches. c) Addition Area, on or about 11/20/15: Bridgeport milling machine was not equipped with a guard to cover the rotating chuck and serrated cutting tool. d) Addition Area, on or about 11/20/15: Tree 425 milling machine was not equipped with a guard to cover the rotating chuck and serrated cutting tool. e) Addition Area, on or about 11/20/15: Central Machinery drill press was not equipped with a guard to cover the rotating chuck and serrated cutting tool. f) Manual Lathe Department, on or about 11/20/15: Baldor buffing machine was not equipped with guarding to cover the rotating shafts, spindle end and nut projections. g) Manual Lathe Department, on or about 11/20/15: LeBlonde and Turn Pro lathes were not equipped with chuck guards. e) Addition Area,on or about 11/20/15: Central Machinery drill press was not equipped with a guard to cover the rotating chuck and serrated cutting tool.
