29 CFR 1910.212(a)(3)(ii): Point(s) of operation of machinery were not guarded to prevent employee(s) from having any part of their body in the danger zone(s) during operating cycle: At the time of the inspection, the "CRAMALOT" baler in the West plant could be operated with the left side door open exposing employees to a caught in hazard. The Alan Wire Company was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1910.212(a)(3)(ii), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 967507, citation number 1, item number 2 and was affirmed as a final order on 10/6/2014, with respect to a workplace located at 830 S. West St., Sikeston, MO 63801. Abatement certification and abatement documentation is required for this violation. The documentation should include written verification of abatement, applicable measurements or monitoring results, and photographs or videos which you believe will be helpful. The abatement certification sheet is enclosed with the citations.
