29 CFR 1910.212(a)(3)(ii): Point(s) of operation of machinery were not guarded to prevent employee(s) from having any part of their body in the danger zone(s) during operating cycle(s):    Dan Puza, Jr., 670 Montgomery Street, Westfield, Massachusetts; Employees were provided a meat grinder to process deer and other meats that did not have a guard in place to protect them from rotating equipment.  The lack of a guard exposed the employees to amputation hazards.

29 CFR 1910.212(a)(3)(iii): Special handtools for placing and removing material from the point of operation was used in lieu of other guarding required by this section.    Dan Puza, Jr., 670 Montgomery Street, Westfield, Massachusetts; Employees were provided a nylon plunger to feed material into the meat grinder in lieu of providing appropriate guarding to prevent access to rotating equipment and point of operation hazards.
