29 CFR 1910.134(d)(1)(iii): The employer did not identify and evaluate the respiratory hazard in the workplace: (a) Ames Granite Joint Venture, at US Highway 36, Louisville, CO: On and preceding 12/3/15, the employer did not identify and evaluate the respiratory hazard in the workplace. Employees operated street sweepers to remove dust and debris, including concrete dust, during the US Highway 36 construction project. Concrete contains crystalline quartz. The street sweeping potentially released respirable silica. Employee exposure to respirable silica had not been determined. This condition potentially exposed employees to a respiratory hazard.
