29 CFR 1910.1200(e)(1): Employers shall develop, implement, and maintain at each workplace, a written hazard communication program which at least describes how the criteria specified in paragraphs (f), (g), and (h) of this section for labels and other forms of warning, material safety data sheets, and employee information and training will be met. a. Employer at the facility located at 2651 Eagle Lane Edgar, Wi. 54426 did not have a written hazard communication program present to provide employees with effective information and training on the hazards of Silica Sand that was used as an abrasive blasting material. All provisions of 29CFR 1910.1200(f) through (h) must be covered in a written hazard communication program. Key elements include, but are not limited to the following: 1. Labels and other forms of warning. 2. Safety data sheets. 3. Employee information and training.
