29 CFR 1910.1200(h)(1): Employees were not provided effective information and training as specified in 29 CFR 1910.1200(h)(2) and (h)(3) on hazardous chemicals in their work area at the time of their initial assignment and whenever a new hazard that the employees had not been previously trained about was introduced into their work area:    (a) An employee who was potentially exposed to such hazardous chemicals as methyl ethyl ketone peroxide and polyester resin, as well as hazardous chemicals contained in polyurethane and antifouling bottom paint had not received training on the physical and health hazards of chemicals, information regarding the location and availability of the employer's written hazard communication program, or trained on the details of the program.    (b) A paint tech who was potentially exposed to such hazardous chemicals as epoxy resin, as well as polyurethane and acrylic urethane paints had not been trained on the physical and health hazards of chemicals.    (c) As of November 3, 2015, the employer had not trained at least two employees on the new chemical container label elements and the new format and types of information on each section of safety data sheets (SDSs).     ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION IS REQUIRED
