International American Supermarkets Corp/Piscataway, NJ- APS Staffing, LLC did not ensure that temporary employees working for International American Supermarkets Corp are provided with appropriate hand protection: a) Labeling Area: The staffing agency did not ensure that employees who use chemicals such as but not limited to acetone and butanone and who's hands are exposed to absorption of harmful substances are provided with appropriate hand protection to include chemical resistant gloves. b) Warehouse and Labeling Area: The staffing agency did not ensure that employees who use knives to open boxes and who's hands are exposed to cutting and laceration hazards are provided with appropriate hand protection such as, but not limited to, mesh or kevlar gloves. c) Battery filling Station: The staffing agency did not ensure that employees who's hands are exposed to chemical burns while adding water to lead acid batteries are provided with appropriate hand protection to include acid resistant gloves. Condition observed on or about December 2, 2015.
