29 CFR 1910.184(c)(9): Employee(s) were not kept clear of load(s) suspended, or about to be lifted by sling(s):    On or about December 17, 2015, the employer failed to ensure that employees tasked with lifting bundles of granite slabs weighing in excess of 6000 lbs., were protected from struck by and crushing hazards when working in close proximity to a suspended load.    The Employer and OSHA agree that the 1910.184(c)(9) violation applies to a suspended load or a load that was about to be lifted.  The cited hazard in this instance was a suspended load of granite slabs that had been previously raised several inches off of the ground on December 17, 2015 and moved to a storage rack prior to the incident of record.  The company and OSHA also agree that at the time of the incident of record on December 17, 2015, the load of granite slabs was no longer suspended.
