Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which was free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to serious bodily injuries and death from unsecured stone and marble slabs falling/tipping over due to not being sufficiently secured and braced while in storage and being inspected, viewed and analyzed when placed/set on wood and metal storage racks.    Location: 28 Roselle Street Milford, CT 06461     On or about 12/21/15 an unsecured 58 inch wide, 116 inch long stone slab weighing between 800 and 1,200 pounds tipped over striking an employees resulting in multiple fractures and internal injuries requiring hospitalization.     While in the process of viewing the color of unsecured marble slabs that were in storage, and while attempting to view the second slab in the bundle, the first slab that was tilted forward to view the second slab fell onto an employee.
