OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which was free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to laceration and puncture type hazards while handling Eastern Region Mail Containers with cracked, torn sharp edges along the plastic liners. (a) Worksite - Mail Handling Area: On or about 12/22/2015, the employer did not ensure that Eastern Region Mail Containers with damaged plastic liners were taken out of service to prevent laceration and puncture exposures to employees.
