29 CFR 1910.132(d)(1): The employer did not assess the workplace to determine if hazards are present, or are likely to be present, which necessitate the use of personal protective equipment (PPE):  a)Greene Point Health and Rehabilitation, Union Point, GA - Employees such as, but are not limited to, LPN's, RN's, and CNA's were not provided or required  to wear "shower boots" to protect their feet from exposure to water, fecal matter and blood that may be present when they are required to shower residents or other patient activities.  The employer did not include shower boots or conduct an assessment to determine the type of hazards located at the jobsite and the appropriate personal protective equipment to be utilized, on or about 12/01/15.  b) Greene Point Health and Rehabilitation, Union Point, GA - Employees such as, but are not limited to, LPN's, RN's, CNA's, and housekeeping were potentially exposed to splashes from blood, body fluids, and other potentially-infectious materials (OPIM). The employer did not conduct an assessment to determine the type of personal protective equipment such as, but are not limited to gowns, shoe covers, and eye protection whenever touching or exposure to patients' body fluids is anticipated, on or about 12/01/15.
