29 CFR 1910.107(b)(9): Cleaning. Spray booths must be so installed that all portions are readily accessible for cleaning. A clear space of not less than 3 feet on all sides must be kept free from storage or combustible materials. 2509 NE Independence Ave., Lees Summit, Missouri; the employer is failing to protect employees from fire hazards associated with the improper storage of combustible materials and objects around spray booths. a) This was most recently documented on or about January 8, 2016, when Summit Auto Body CARSTAR failed to ensure that clear spaces of not less than 3 feet on all sides of the prep booth were maintained free of storage or combustible materials such as auto body parts and cardboard boxes.
