29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): Each employee on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge which was 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems. a) Wilmington Saving Funds Society Building/9th and N. Market Street- On or about January 7, 2016, the employer failed to protect employees from a fall hazard of 8 1/2 feet while they installed lighting along an unprotected side/ledge approximately 18 feet wide.

29 CFR 1926.503(a)(1): The employer did not provide a training program for each employee potentially exposed to fall hazards to enable each employee to recognize the hazards of falling and the procedures to be followed in order to minimize these hazards: a) Wilmington Savings Funds Society/9th and N. Market Streets -On or about January 7, 2016, the employer did not provide information and training to employees in the recognition, evaluation, and control of hazards associated with working at elevations. Employees were working from a window ledge with unprotected edges without the use of fall protection.
