29 CFR 1910.252(a)(2)(ii): The employer does not maintain suitable extinguishing equipment in a state of readiness for instant use: This violation was observed on or about January 14, 2016 throughout the facility where employees are exposed to burn and smoke inhalation hazards where flammable spray painting is being done and welding and cutting operations are performed. Fire extinguishers were observed being blocked by equipment and material and not charged for use. To abate this violation, the employer must ensure that there is a unobstructed path to the extinguishers and that the extinguishers are maintained in a fully charged state ready for use. The Jarosz Welding Co. Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1910.252(a)(2)(ii), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 568019,citation number 1, item number 7 and was affirmed as a final order on February 6, 2013, with respect to a workplace located at 544 Ledyard Street, Hartford, CT. 29 CFR 1910.303(g)(1)(i): The employer does not maintain work space that is 30 inches wide in front of electric equipment operating at 600 volts, nominal, or less: This violation was observed on or about January 14, 2016 in the Fabrication and Main Shop Areas where the work space in front of a 120/208 volt electrical panel is reduced to 24 inches by the placement of the Hypertherm Max 200 Plasma Machine. The Press Brake and Shear machines were located in front of and near electrical panels which reduced access to less than 30 inches wide in the machine areas. To abate this violation, the employer must relocate the equipment blocking access to the electrical panels. The Jarosz Welding Co. Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1910.303(g)(1)(i), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 910472, citation number 1, item number 1a and was affirmed as a final order on March 6, 2014, with respect to a workplace located at 544 Ledyard Street, Hartford, CT. 06114.

29 CFR 1910.303(g)(1)(iii): The employer does not ensure that at least one entrance of sufficient area is provided to give access to the working space about electric equipment 600 Volts, nominal, or less: This violation was observed on or about January 14, 2016 throughout the facility where employees do not have sufficient access to the electrical panels powering equipment in their work areas. Electrical panels were blocked by equipment, machinery, scrap parts and metal and construction debris that do not allow access to the panels. To abate this violation, the employer must relocate equipment and machinery and clean up scrap parts and metal and construction debris accumulated in the work areas around the electrical panels. The Jarosz Welding Co. Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1910.303(g)(1)(iii), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 910472, citation number 1, item number 1b and was affirmed as a final order on March 6, 2014, with respect to a workplace located at 544 Ledyard Street, Hartford, CT. 06114.
