29 CFR 1910.132(a): Protective equipment was not used when necessary whenever hazards capable of causing injury and impairment were encountered:  a) Machine Shop:  An employee cut beryllium containing material above water on a waterjet and used a dye grinder to deburr beryllium containing material and the employer did not ensure that this employee wore appropriate body protection (e.g., apron) to prevent contamination by particulate, discovered on or about 01/22/2016.  b) Sheet Metal Shop:  An employee used an orbital sander and sand paper to deburr beryllium containing material and the employer did not ensure that this employee wore appropriate body protection (e.g., apron) to prevent contamination by particulate, discovered on or about 01/22/2016.  ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION REQUIRED

29 CFR 1910.1200(g)(8): The employer did not maintain copies of the required material safety data sheets (MSDS) or safety data sheets (SDS) for each hazardous chemical in the workplace and ensure that MSDS or SDS were readily accessible to the employees in their work area during each work shift:    a) Machine Shop and Sheet Metal Shop:  Employees worked with hazardous chemicals, including, but not limited to, Copper Beryllium Wrought Alloy, and the employer did not maintain in the workplace the MSDS or SDS for this hazardous chemical, discovered on or about 01/22/2016.    b) Machine Shop, Sheet Metal Shop, and Plating Shop:  Employees worked with various hazardous chemicals (e.g., fabricated metals and plating solutions) and the MSDS or SDS for hazardous chemicals were not readily accessible in that employees were unaware of how to access them via computer, discovered on or about 01/22/2016.
