29 CFR 1926.150(c)(1)(viii): Portable fire extinguishers shall be inspected periodically and maintained in accordance with Maintenance and Use of Portable Fire Extinguishers, NFPA No. 10A-1970. location: barge crane cab on or about: 1/14/16 a) Employees were using a vibratory hammer connected to a barge crane to send down sheeting for a seawall. The fire extinguisher that was present in the cab of the crane was last serviced November 2014. location: barge crane engine compartment on or about: 1/14/16 a) Employees were using a vibratory hammer connected to a barge crane to send down sheeting for a seawall. The fire extinguisher that was present in the engine area of the crane had an attached maintenance record log that was not filled out.
