29 CFR 1910.101(b): The in-plant handling, storage, and utilization of all compressed gases in cylinders, portable tanks, rail tankcars, or motor vehicle cargo tanks were not in accordance with Compressed Gas Association Pamphlet P-1-1965, which is incorporated by reference as specified in CFR 1910.6:   Employees working at Trades Building located at 5907 SW 21st Topeka KS were exposed to injury from fire and explosion or a projectile hazard.  Compressed gas cylinder containing Nitrogen that was not in use, was not secured to prevent damage in accordance as required by Compressed Gas Association Pamphlet P-1-1965.

29 CFR 1910.305(g)(1)(iv)(A): Flexible cords and/or cables were used as a substitute for the fixed wiring of a structure.      Employees working in Classroom #7 were exposed to electrical fire hazards.  Eight 110 VAC power strips were plugged together to provide electrical power to computers throughout the classroom.

29 CFR 1910.305(g)(2)(iii): Flexible cords and cables were not connected to devices and fittings so that strain relief was provided that would prevent pull from being directly transmitted to joints or terminal screws:    Employees working in Classroom #7 were exposed to injury from electrical shock hazard. Strain relief was not provided for the plug end of the flexible cord providing 110 VAC electrical power to another power cord.

29 CFR 1910.1200(e)(1): Employer had not developed or implemented a written hazard communication program included the requirements outlined in 29 CFR 1910.1200(e)(1)(i)    Employees working at the Trades Building located at 5907 SW 21st Topeka KS were exposed to fire and explosion hazards from hazardous chemicals used at the site, such as but not limited to acetylene, oxygen, and nitrogen.  The employer did not develop and implement a Hazard Communication Program to ensure that employees are informed of the hazards associated with the chemicals with which they work.
