29 CFR 1910.23(d)(1)(i): On stairways less than 44 inches wide having both sides enclosed, at least one handrail, preferably on the right side descending:  a) In the Basement:  There was a stairway measuring about 36 inches wide and was enclosed on both sides, but it did not have at least one handrail, exposing employees to fall hazards, as observed on or about January 27, 2016. ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION IS REQUIRED FOR THIS VIOLATION.
