29 CFR 1910.1052(i)(2): It was reasonably foreseeable that an employee's eyes may contact solutions containing 0.1 percent or greater methylene chloride and the employer did not provide appropriate eyewash facilities within the immediate work area for emergency use and did not ensure that affected employees use those facilities when necessary: (a) On or about 1/29/2016 at T&T Plastic Land, Inc. employees joining acrylic sheet were exposed to chemical hazards from methylene chloride while mixing chemicals and during application of the mixture by syringe, because the employer had not provided an emergency eyewash. Employees joined the pieces of acrylic sheet using a mixture of Caseway acrylic adhesive and Craftics Plastick Acrylic Solvent Cement, which contained methylene chloride, and which is a carcinogen.
