OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1): Public Law 91-596, the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970, Section 5(a)(1): The employer did not furnish to each of his employees employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or are likely to cause death or serious physical harm to his employees, in that employees were exposed to amputations hazards while operating a Lauderdale Hamilton Cut up Saw. (a) On or about January 27, 2016 an employee operating the Lauderdale Hamilton Cut-up Saw amputated three fingers when the operator's hand came in contact with the saw blade while removing scrap wood stock in the cutting zone without the use of a push stick.
