29 CFR 1910.215(b)(9): The distance between the abrasive wheel periphery(s) and the adjustable tongue or the end of the safety guard peripheral member at the top exceeded one fourth inch: a) On or about January 26, 2016 and times prior; Craftsman 3/4 HP Grinder in the production area: The employer failed to ensure the tongue guard was properly adjusted to within 1/4 inch of the wheel in that the right side was 7/16 of an inch and the left side was 5/8 of an inch from the wheel. b) On or about January 26, 2016 and times prior; Craftsman 3/4 HP Grinder in the maintenance shop: The employer failed to ensure the tongue guard was installed and properly adjusted to within 1/4 inch of the wheel on the right and left side grinding wheels
