29 CFR 1926.501(b)(10): Each employee engaged in roofing activities on low-slope roofs, with unprotected sides and edges 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels, was not protected from falling by guardrail systems, safety net systems, personal fall arrest systems, or a combination of warning line system and guardrail system, warning line system and safety net system, or warning line system and safety monitoring system.  (a) Date of Violation: On or about 02-01-2016 and times prior thereto located on top of the Lumbar Warehouse at BAE Systems Norfolk Shipyard, 750 West Berkley Avenue Norfolk, VA 23523, employees conducting roofing repair work of a leak in the valley of the roof were exposed to falls from heights approximately 12 feet, 4 inches above the ground level below without any type of fall protection system, fall restraint system, safety net, guardrails, warning system, safety monitoring system, or any combination thereof.  Abatement certification required within 10 days after abatement date.  The certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, date and method of abatement, and states employee(s) and their representatives were informed of this abatement.
