29 CFR 1926.352(i): Drums containers, or hollow structures which have contained toxic or flammable substances were not, before welding, cutting, or heating was undertaken on them, either filled with water or thoroughly cleaned of such substances and ventilated and tested: a) 380 Herbertsville Road, Brick Township, NJ: Precautions such as monitoring gasoline vapors prior to cutting into the 6000 tank, were not taken to prevent ignition of flammable vapors. A flash fire occurred resulting in burns of an employee, on or about 12/11/15. NOTE: IN ADDITION TO ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION, THE EMPLOYER IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT ABATEMENT DOCUMENTATION FOR THIS ITEM. FAILURE TO COMPLY WILL RESULT IN AN ADDITIONAL PENALTY OF $1000.00 IN ACCORDANCE WITH 29 CFR 1903.19.
