29 CFR 1910.1030(f)(3): Post-exposure evaluation and follow-up. Following a report of an exposure incident, the employer shall make immediately available to the exposed employee a confidential medical evaluation and follow-up.    On or about November 17, 2015, an employee in the Phlebotomist Department received a needle stick injury while performing routine work activities and the employer did not make immediately available to the exposed employee a confidential medical evaluation and follow-up following an exposure incident.     Abatement documentation is required for this item in accordance with the requirements of 29 CFR 1903.19(d).

On or about November 17, 2015, an employee in the Phlebotomist Department received a needle stick injury while performing routine work activities and the employer did not ensure that employees had received adequate training regarding the appropriate actions to take or person(s) to contact in an emergency involving an exposure incident.     Abatement documentation is required for this item in accordance with the requirements of 29 CFR 1903.19(d).
