29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks: ESTABLISHMENT: The employees performing "empting process" of the cheese hopper were exposed to the hazard of being struck by rotating mixing blades. On or about 02/04/16, one of employees' right index finger caught by rotating mixing blades while performing the above task, and the employee sustained an amputation of the top knuckle of the index finger from the incident.
