Employees were exposed to fall hazards due to an unprotected leading edge at the trash chute exposing employees to a fall of over five stories high to an asphalt driveway and demolition debris. Violation was observed on or about 2/4/2016.

29 CFR 1926.503(a)(1): The employer did not provide a training program for each employee potentially exposed to fall hazards to enable each employee to recognize the hazards of falling and the procedures to be followed in order to minimize these hazards. a) Work site was located at 370 Orange Street, Newark, NJ 07107. Employees did not have training in fall protection and they were unable to recognize fall hazards that were present in their work area. Violation occurred on or about 2//4/2016.
