29 CFR 1910.151(c): Where the eyes or body of any person may be exposed to injurious corrosive materials, suitable facilities for quick drenching or flushing of the eyes and body shall be provided within the work area for immediate emergency use. [63 FR 33450, June 18, 1998]: On or about 02/09/2016, FTL Nimbus dba Automation Service, located at 13871 Parks Steed Drive, Earth City, MO, had a battery charging station where an employee had to charge, service, and check battery fluid levels on their JLG Scissor Lift. There was not an eye wash station at or near the charging/servicing area.

One or more methods of machine guarding shall be provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks. Examples of guarding methods are-barrier guards, two-hand tripping devices,electronic safety devices, etc.: On or about 02/09/2016, FTL Nimbus dba Automation Service, located at 13871 Parks Steed Drive, Earth City, MO, had employee(s) which were exposed to hazards such as those created by rotating parts. The Jet Equipment & Tool horizontal band saw did not have guarding to protect the employee(s) from the rotating non-working portions of the saws blade.

29 CFR 1910.215(b)(9): Exposure adjustment. Safety guards of the types described in Subparagraphs (3) and (4) of this paragraph, where the operator stands in front of the opening, shall be constructed so that the peripheral protecting member can be adjusted to the constantly decreasing diameter of the wheel. The maximum angular exposure above the horizontal plane of the wheel spindle as specified in paragraphs (b)(3) and (4) of this section shall never be exceeded, and the distance between the wheel periphery and the adjustable tongue or the end of the peripheral member at the top shall never exceed one-fourth inch. (See Figures O-18, O-19, O-20, O-21, O-22, and O-23.): On or about 02/09/2016, FTL Nimbus dba Automation Service, located at 13871 Parks Steed Drive, Earth City, MO, had employee(s) who were exposed to struck-by hazards. The Baldor bench grinder did not have any tongue guards (both sides missing) and therefore could not be adjusted to one-fourth inch to provide employee(s) protection.
