29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): Each employee on a walking/working surface (horizontal and vertical surface) with an unprotected side or edge which is 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level shall be protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems: On the roof of a residential apartment building under construction, East side, on or about February 09, 2016, employees without fall protection were exposed to a fall hazard greater than 6 feet to the ground level below, while installing the top plate to the parapet wall.
