OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that minimally trained employees were exposed to crushing hazards while working under an automotive lift that was not inspected daily, monthly, and annually.     Worksite Location: 460 Main St, Spencer, MA;    On 2/11/16 and at times prior, employees worked on equipment under an automotive lift while:  1) lift operators had only received on-the-job lift operator training without referring to the lift manufacturer's operators manual and 2) the lift was not inspected daily before use, monthly, or annually as per manufacturer requirements.          One feasible and acceptable means of abatement includes, but is not limited to, following the American National Standards Institute / Automotive Lift Institute Standard for Automotive Lifts- Safety Requirements for Operation, Inspection, and Maintenance, ANSI/ALI ALOIM-2008 to ensure: 1) In depth training is provided for all lift operators,  2) Lift operator training is documented, and 3) Lift safety features are inspected daily, monthly, and annually as per manufacturer requirements.
