29 CFR 1910.178(m)(5)(i): Wheels shall be blocked if the truck is parked on an incline. Customer Location: 2337 N. Newburg Road, Belvidere, IL - On or about February 16, 2016, employees picked up powered industrial trucks for servicing from customer locations that had inclined docks. The lift trucks were driven onto an inclined flatbed trailer and parked. The wheels of the lift trucks were not blocked to prevent movement. The employer did not train or require employees to block the wheels of powered industrial trucks when parking on inclines. Employees were exposed to struck-by and crushing hazards. Abatement documentation is required for this item in accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(d).
