29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks:    (a) Capacitor winding room - the roller sets of the winding machines were not adequately guarded by the existing light curtain safety device, exposing employees to a pinch point hazard; observed on or about 2/19/16.    (b) Core department - employees were exposed to a pinch point hazard created when the metal arm that held the finished core products snapped down onto the conveyor of the Schumann A-3 machine #M0151; observed on or about 2/19/16.

29 CFR 1910.212(a)(3)(ii): The  point of operation of machines whose operation exposed an employee to injury, was not guarded:    (a) Capacitor winding room - the cutting blade of the Hilton Industries Model Optima 650 winding machines was not adequately guarded by the existing light curtain safety device, exposing employees  to an amputation hazard; observed on or about 2/19/16.    (b) Core department - the point of operation of the Tranco #M0158 was not adequately guarded by the existing interlocked doors, exposing employees to a crushing hazard; observed on or about 2/19/16.
